The National Assembly will debate this Tuesday, in its ordinary session, a point of high political and diplomatic relevance: the draft agreement to declare the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, “persona non grata”.
The Venezuelan Parliament accuses Persad-Bissessar of issuing statements that affect national sovereignty and promote stigmas against Venezuelan migration in the Caribbean.
The proposal to declare persona non grata seeks to send a firm message in the face of what Caracas considers a hostile and repeated attitude on the part of the neighboring government.
Likewise, the second discussion of the Draft Law of the Commands for the Comprehensive Defense of Venezuela is planned, in accordance with the provisions of article 106 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of Parliament.
It should be noted that the Legislative Branch approved, in the first discussion and unanimously, the document that subscribes to the co-responsibility of the State, and of all Venezuelans, in the face of internal and external threats in which it wants to strengthen peace, democracy and comprehensive defense in a proposal that has three titles and 35 articles.
