This Tuesday an ordinary session of the National Assembly (AN) was held through which the parliament received a list of 10 candidates for the position of public defender.
Deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello, president of the Judicial Nominations Committee, was in charge of delivering the list of 10 candidates chosen among 28 people who presented their credentials.
The deputy explained that the selection process went through four stages where the veracity of the documents delivered by the candidates was certified and the candidates were interviewed to assess their experience.
He also reported the names of the 10 applicants: Edgar José Moya Millan, Gonzalo Segundo Gonzáles, Neida Josefina Pérez, Yajaira Thais Medina, Yelitza Coromoto Bravo, Yosmary Angélica Paéz, Danial Augusto Ramírez, Dorangel Lupez Carrisales, Elvis Junior Pérez, Juan Carlos Coro Castellanos.
Alessandrello stressed that the selection process is framed in the process of revolution of the justice system.
Before delivering the administrative report that was carried out for 40 days, the deputy recognized the support of the Committee and Civil Society in the selection process.
For his part, the deputy and vice president of the Nominations Commission, José Gregorio Correa, thanked the Venezuelans and the candidates for the trust placed in the Legislative Power, to achieve “reconciliation and reunion with the citizen in matters of justice.”
