AN will attend to the immigration table the case of infants found in Brazil

The National Assembly (AN), through a technical inter-institutional work table, will attend to the cases of children and adolescents not nationalized by the Venezuelan state found on the border with Brazil.

The information was released by the president of the Permanent Commission for Families, Freedom of Religion and Cults, deputy Asia Villegas Poljak, of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), during a meeting held last Monday in the La France, headquarters of the AN, where authorities from the competent bodies in the matter participated, referred to a press release from the AN.

In the event, the Legislative Branch will join officials from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Ombudsman’s Office (DP), Public Defense (DP) and the Bolívar State Governor’s Office, with the aim of reviewing all the relevant data.

With the review of the information and statistics of the infants not nationalized by the Venezuelan State found in the border with Brazil, it is estimated to identify each case and solve it in the shortest possible time.

On the other hand, the deputy Asia Villegas Poljak reported that “they will soon inaugurate in Santa Elena de Uairen, Bolívar state, a provisional headquarters of the Foreign Ministry to attend to the Venezuelans who live in the area.”

Likewise, he announced that they will hold another day of nationalization of children and adolescents on the border with Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago.

For his part, the rector of the CNE Alexis Corredor stressed that these conferences have the objective of complying with the laws and including compatriots in the internal registry of the institution.
