The National Assembly (AN) greeted this Tuesday the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which will be celebrated on February 11.
In this regard, the first vice president of the NA, Pedro Infante, highlighted the cooperation ties that Venezuela and Iran maintain, despite the coercive measures that both nations have.
“We want to greet the Iranian people in the framework of the celebration on February 11, where they celebrate the 44 years of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, from this parliament, we send to the Islamic Revolution of Iran,” said Infante during his participation.
Similarly, he recalled the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, on February 3, where they held a meeting to strengthen cooperation issues, mainly by the Venezuela-Iran parliamentary friendship group.
“It was a meeting that strengthens the ties of friendship between Venezuela and Iran and issues of cooperation between our countries were addressed, the need to strengthen the bond between parliaments,” he stressed.
On the other hand, both nations condemned the sanctions that the West maintains against the nations.
It should be remembered that Venezuela and Iran within the framework of bilateral integration have signed agreements in the scientific and technological area.
The agreements cover educational training, nanotechnology, biotechnology, petrochemicals, probiotics, radiology, fiber optics, social data analysis and design of scientific-technological systems, among others.
