Today the National Assembly is scheduled to receive President Nicolás Maduro, who must present his report and account, as established by the Magna Carta in its article 235.
The aforementioned rule states that in this message the president “will report on the political, economic, social and administrative aspects of his administration during the immediately preceding year.”
Last Friday, when Maduro was sworn in by the Legislative Branch, he gave a speech where he alluded to the Plan of the 7 Transformations, which was consulted during the celebration of popular assemblies.
And there he said that during the presentation of his message to the Nation he would detail the steps that were taken in that plan in the six years of his second term, which began in 2018 and ended in 2024.
Last Friday, January 10, President Nicolás Maduro was sworn in before the National Assembly for a new constitutional period 2025-2031, after being re-elected in the presidential elections on July 28.
The President was inaugurated by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, before visitors and delegations from 125 countries.
