The Learning Community of the National Assembly (AN), during this week, managed to deepen historical themes of Venezuelatoas part of the Ribas Mission program, to establish different education programs in the country. The group facilitator, Alexis Poncereported that the participants, all employees of the AN, expanded their knowledge about participatory, leading and representative democracy, as well as about Puntofijismo and the interference of North American imperialism in the country.
Ponce highlighted that, next week, the students will present their institutional projects, a requirement to obtain the bachelor’s degree in the Learning Community of the National Assembly. These projects include the creation of a reading club within the institution and the promotion of recreational and cultural activities for AN retirees.
The legislative assistant and researcher stressed the importance of these final projects, which will be presented in the next sessions. Students will explain chapters one and two of their work, thus advancing in their academic practices.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the historical and political knowledge of workers to promote comprehensive training that covers both theoretical and practical aspects. Finally, Ponce highlighted the participants’ commitment to continuing education and their enthusiasm for contributing to the cultural and recreational development of the parliamentary community.
