AN installs Venezuela-East Timor Parliamentary Friendship Group

The National Assembly (AN) installed this Thursday, the Venezuela-Democratic Republic of East Timor Parliamentary Friendship Group, chaired by deputy Ricardo González, according to a press release from the parliament.

The deputies that make up the group, when taking the oath in the Protocol Chamber of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, assumed the tireless commitment to building ties of brotherhood and solidarity, through love and peace.

Deputy González declared that East Timor is one of the 57 countries of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), which did not hesitate to support Venezuela and the president, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

He clarified that his lines of work will be oriented towards legislative exchange to address various issues.

The vice minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh, when referring to the Southeast Asian nation, said that, although Timor may seem like a strange and distant nation, it is much closer than everyone thinks. they imagine.

The Group was made up of deputies Cecilia Perozo, Euribes Guevara, Renny Bonalde, Jessica Moreno, Nayary Linares and Arelis Orta.

And to serve as secretary of the friendship group, lawyer Maximino Guédez was appointed.
