AN installed Venezuela-African Union Parliamentary Friendship Group

The National Assembly installed the Venezuela-African Union Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Boyacá room of the Bolivian Museum in Caracas.

According to the president of the group, deputy Jesús Suárez Chourio, this paves the way for strengthening relations between Venezuela and the countries of the African Union.

He addressed the interest in relationships in the field of cultural and educational exchange, among others. In addition, he commented that the geopolitical and geostrategic expectations with these meetings are broad, referring to a press release of Parliament.

“We will continue walking, as a single block, in defense of respect. We will make a common anti-Zionist and anti-terrorist front, despite the diversity,” said the deputy.

In turn, the vice president of this group, Representative Luz Coromoto Chacón, added that this installation joins the International Parliamentary Forum against Fascism, being a mechanism to make the country’s normality visible.

Chacón asserted that “it will be a moment for rapprochement with social organizations, workers and politicians,” in a single front that will demand respect for the decisions of the Venezuelan people in their determination to live in peace.
