The Public Services Administration of the National Assembly (AN), installed this Wednesday the Forum for the right to the city in Venezuela.
The information was released by the second vice president of the National Assembly, Vanesa Montero, who assured that the movement of residents and experts in urban planning will be participating in the Forum.
The Forum was held within the framework of the discussion and contributions to the Organic Law Project on the Right to the City and Habitat, organized by the Permanent Commission of Administration and Services Chaired by by Deputy Willlian Gil.
Members of the university sector and spokespersons of organized popular power were invited to this forum.
He explained that this forum seeks to continue socializing the instrument and discuss how to impact cities to be spaces for harmonious coexistence and recreation for all citizens.
“This forum seeks to disseminate all the elements of the law and how we can transform our habitat, how we can significantly impact the improvement of cities, that they are for life, for the citizen, that are not just for concrete, cars and pollution,” he said.
Likewise, Gil pointed out that the activity was attended by international guests and professors from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). This is a first phase that will take place in the city of Caracas and the states of La Miranda and La Guaira.
Montero stressed that with this they intend to learn about local experiences and experiences from other parts of the world to plan based on global crises such as climate change.
