The National Assembly raided the parliamentary immunity of the main deputy by the state of Mérida Julio César Torres Molina for allegedly being involved “flagrantly in crimes contemplated in the Organic Law of Drugs,” as said in the document read during the session.
According to a communication sent by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to Parliament, read in the extraordinary session of this Wednesday, August 20, in the case of Deputy Torres Molina “the prejudice of merit does not proceed,” so they affirmed that he is already arrested. It was not reported since when.
The raid of the parliamentary immunity of Julio Torres was approved unanimously. The letter sent by Judge Caryslia Rodríguez, president of the TSJ, reported that the notification also sent to the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, so that he is aware of the case.
