An ice cream vendor was shot three times on 11J and now demands reparation from the Cuban Justice

Osiris José Puerto Terry has a bullet lodged in his back, a prominent scar on his abdomen, and another on his right foot, almost reaching the kneecap. A specialized police captain shot him during the demonstrations of the July 11 at the crossroads of Santa Emilia and Diez de Octubre. “It’s an (attempted) murder,” denounced this ice cream snack vendor who was only trying to get to his home that day.

Puerto Terry went from being a victim to being accused. For a year and six months he stressed to the Journal of the Americas which is monitored by the military Counterintelligence and the police unit of Aguilera, in Lawton, municipality of Diez de Octubre. “Every seventh day of each month I must go with my wife to the police sector and sign a commitment document that I am not going to get into politics, I am not going to create problems and a series of other things. On the dates that the Security of the State determines, I have to spend three or four days without leaving my house”.
