During the ordinary session of this Tuesday in the National Assembly (AN), an agreement was approved to repudiate the acts of xenophobia and harassment suffered by Venezuelans abroad, specifically in relation to the case of an 11-year-old Venezuelan boy years he was brutally beaten in Peru.
Given this fact, the parliament in ordinary session approved the creation of an office to investigate and care for victims of hate abroad.
Similarly, it was approved that a commission from the AN travel to Peru to request answers about this and other attacks against Venezuelans who remain in that country and demand an investigation from the Peruvian parliament. The commission will be made up of deputies Julio Chávez, Ilenia Medina, Pedro Infante and Anyeli Tamayo.
Deputy Julio Chávez was in charge of opening the debate, requesting that the aggression and harassment of Venezuelans abroad cease.
“It is necessary to close ranks and create a commission that goes to Peru to demand answers from the government of that country about this and many other events. We must raise our voice in this parliament against the attacks of Venezuelan migration », he said.
He stressed that a management report on the murder of Venezuelans abroad was presented a week ago.
In the same way, he assured that Venezuelan migration has been stimulated by the right and NGOs that have dedicated themselves to migration as a business.

Venezuela: receiving country of migrants
The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, said that Venezuela is the fourth country receiving migrants in the region. “In 2017 fifty thousand Peruvians came to Venezuela.”
He denounced that the wave of migrations was the product of a hate campaign against Venezuelans, orchestrated by Carlos Vecchio, Julio Borges, Leopoldo López and Juan Guaidó.
“What these NGOs do is swindle Venezuelans, they are white slave organizations that take real money from Venezuelans there in Peru or in any other country, arguing that you cannot live in Venezuela,” Rodríguez said.
He also referred to Venezuelans who are stalked in countries like Colombia and Spain. He referred to the UNHCR as an instrument to justify the United States attacking countries that do not submit to them.
Deputies in favor of the investigation
In the same way, the deputy Ilenia Medina called for forceful measures, “we cannot continue lifting every day with news of this type,” she said.
On the other hand, deputy Alfonso Campos said that although it is a daunting fact, this case and others must be investigated beyond the fact: “it is a global phenomenon such as bullying,” he said.
Finally, the deputy Blanca Eekhout stressed that the architects of the crime that has been committed against that child in Peru “are the same ones who promoted the blockade, those who said that Venezuela was a plague and that they needed to generate a situation of despair in Venezuela and loot their resources,” he said.
What happened in Peru?
The Venezuelan boy Jhoangel Jesús Zambrano Alvarado, 11 years old, was the victim of xenophobia and bullying in Peru and almost lost his life after a severe beating by one of his classmates at the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre school in the Puente Piedra District.
The event occurred on April 21 but went viral through social networks due to a video posted on the Instagram account of @venezolanosenperu_ in which the serious condition in which the child Jhoangel is found is evident.
The minor was diagnosed by specialists with a cervical sprain and stroke that caused severe headaches, vomiting, fainting and seizures.
