The Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly (AN) approved the appointment of Remigio Ceballos Ichaso as the new Venezuelan ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Ceballos, with an outstanding career in public administration and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), assumes this strategic role at a crucial moment for bilateral relations.
The motion was presented this week in the plenary session of Parliament, where the secretary of the National Assembly, María Alejandra Hernández, read the point.
“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, proposes the appointment of citizen Remigio Ceballos Ichaso as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Venezuela to the People’s Republic of China,” was the point discussed in the plenary session and referred to the Foreign Policy Commission to prepare a report that will be presented again to the plenary session.
Remigio Ceballos has held important positions, such as Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, and Vice President of Government for Citizen Security. His experience extends to key roles such as Commander of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB and Vice Minister for Planning and Development for Defense, which underlines his capacity and commitment to the nation.
During the assignment of the ministers, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted Ceballos’ ethics, morals and loyalty, emphasizing that the experience and dedication of Admiral in Chief, Remigio Ceballos, will be essential to strengthen the strategic alliance, a vital partner in the economic and technological development of Venezuela.
The appointment of Ceballos as ambassador to China represents a significant step in the consolidation of bilateral relations, with a view to strengthening cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
