During the ordinary session this Tuesday, October 22, in the National Assembly, the first vice president of parliament, deputy Pedro Infante, recorded the results of an investigation in which individuals, political parties and NGOs are accused of being part of a conspiracy that stripped the Citgo company of national assets.
Infante, who in turn is in charge of the commission that investigates those involved in the Citgo robbery, said that he will deliver the report of this investigation to the Public Ministry, so that this institution determines the criminal responsibilities of the political organizations. and individuals who acted against national interests.
He highlighted that there are 351 people who are accused of participating in this criminal action, in addition to the political parties Acción Democracia, Primero Justicia, Voluntad Popular, Vente Venezuela, Un Nuevo Tiempo, Mesa de Unidad Democratica and their boards of directors in force at the time of the dispossessed are accused of criminal responsibility after this investigation.
Likewise, the report will be sent to the Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries (Saren), so that this institution can review the registry of properties and assets of those involved in Venezuela and abroad. In addition, the Saren was requested to freeze bank accounts and prohibit these people from leaving the country.
In the case of those identified who are outside Venezuela, the Public Ministry will be asked to request a red alert from Interpol so that their arrest can occur in accordance with international agreements.
Likewise, the Comptroller General of the Republic will be requested to politically disqualify all those involved in this investigation from holding public office, as well as those who usurped positions covered by the false interim term imposed in 2019.
