This Thursday, in ordinary session, the National Assembly unanimously approved the appointment of Coromoto Godoy Salmerón as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Venezuela to Spain.
In plenary, Deputy Saúl Ortega presented the report of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration, through which the credentials of Coromoto Godoy Salmerón were reviewed.
In his speech, Ortega highlighted the outstanding work of Godoy Slimerón in the diplomatic exercise, before which – he indicated – the Commission approved the proposed work plan.
Regarding the career of Godoy Salmerón, he highlighted that she has held consul positions in Pernambuco and Miami, and has been an ambassador in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as in India with concurrence in Nepal, Srilanka and Bangladesh.
Peace Policy Victory
The deputy also highlighted the importance of the appointment of the Ambassador to Spain and the reestablishment of relations, as a victory for the peace policy of President Nicolás Maduro.
In this regard, he asserted that it is also a victory for the resistance of the Venezuelan people, who have been pulverizing the fictitious mechanism that gave recognition to a poorly thought-out concept of democracy.
“We are winning and we are advancing in the peace diplomacy led by President Nicolás Maduro,” said Ortega, while asking for recognition for the Venezuelan people for their resistance.
After the presentation of the report, the vote was carried out, remaining unanimously approved the appointment of Coromoto Godoy Salmerón as Ambassador of Venezuela to the Kingdom of Spain.
For the aforementioned designationthe parliamentarians evaluated the report presented by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, previously evaluated by the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly (AN).
In the same way, in this session the second discussion of the Project of the Special Law on the Work of Persons with Disabilities was held.
Before beginning the discussion in plenary, the president of the National Assembly, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, greeted workers with disabilities, special guests present in the Session Room, who have been part of the work of the Special Labor Law for people with Disability. Among them Ronald Mijares, Pedro Viscaya, and Yar Velásquez.
“From here we give you our embrace, consideration, solidarity and our gratitude for all the contributions corresponding to the discussion of the law,” Rodríguez expressed to them.
After discussing and approving the first 12 articles of the Law, as established in the internal and debate regulations, Deputy María Gabriel Vega requested the deferral of the second discussion due to a structural review of subsequent articles, a request that was approved.
