During the Ordinary Session, the Draft Agreement was unanimously approved in repudiation of the disastrous and impertinent statements about Venezuela by the former President of the United States (USA) Donald Trump, who on June 11 acknowledged that, through of the unilateral sanctions issued during his administration, he intended to take over Venezuelan oil. Project that was presented by the first vice president of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante.
“Donald Trump gives continuity to the policy embodied since Barack Obama’s decree, the empire is a single policy, the imperial policy has always tried to make Latin America its backyard and steal Venezuelan oil, they are the Republican and Democratic governments of the United States, with the same imperial agenda”, emphasized Infante.
Likewise, he stressed that, with this statement, Trump made it clear that his objective was to destroy the functioning of the Venezuelan State, through sabotage of the oil industry so that it could not sell, carry out the purchase or sale of any type of product and thus destroy the social protection system, schools, CDI, among others.
In this order of ideas, he maintained that the Venezuelan opposition acted in complicity with the North American empire, to which he requested sanctions that affected the people, for which he stressed that “the opposition has to face the country and assume its responsibilities before the people and in the face of history, the opposition is complicit in treason against the homeland,” he said.
The first vice president of the AN, recognized the courage and decision of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, for defending the dignity of the Homeland, the Revolution and the Venezuelan people.
In this sense, the proposal presented by infante establishes to categorically reject the statements issued by the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, which demonstrate the hegemonic position of dominance of US foreign policy with the purpose of illegally appropriating of the natural resources of sovereign nations that do not submit to their designs to satisfy their plutocratic interests.
Similarly, it contemplates urging the government of the United States to cease its policy of harassment against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, because it violates the guarantee of the human rights of the Venezuelan people and has a negative impact on the development of economic growth in the nation.
It is important to remember that, since 2014, the supremacist government of the United States of America undertook strategies to stifle the economic development of the Venezuelan nation through the imposition of illegal and illegitimate unilateral coercive measures that have had a negative impact on the Venezuelan economy to hinder the full guarantee of human rights in Venezuela.
That is why the Bolivarian Government has developed a set of policies and programs aimed at guaranteeing the full enjoyment and exercise of the human rights of the Venezuelan people, aimed at promoting full development and social welfare in the face of the negative impact caused by the imposition of the blockade.
