The National Assembly (AN) of the 2020 approved in the first discussion the bill approving the Framework Agricultural Agreement, adopted in the XXIV Summit of Heads of State and Governments belonging to the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of Our America (Alba-TCP).
The draft agreement was approved in the ordinary session on Tuesday, February 18. The document was presented to the Plenary by Deputy Roy Daza, who highlighted the importance of the integration of the region in the work done from the ALBA-TCP.
“The ideas formulated in the Framework Project contemplate the productive and equitable development, which in turn has the axes technical cooperation, production and productivity, the diversification of our agriculture, agri -food trade between countries and the promotion of investments. State, private and various countries investments acting that they go together aimed at raising agriculture in our countries, ”said Daza.

The agreement, approved in the first discussion by qualified majority, was presented on February 3 by Nicolás Maduro during the telematic meeting of the countries that make up the ALBA-TCP.
Maduro, in the virtual meeting, highlighted the importance of consolidating the issue of Agroalb .
He stressed that this is a crucial issue because, according to him, there is a great global debate about agricultural practices. “It is a very important issue of the debate in the world among agroecological regenerative agriculture, organic food production and destructive agriculture, full of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, which destroy the earth,” explained the official at that time.
On the other hand, he warned about the consequences of the use of agrochemicals. He stressed that beyond that they destroy the earth, they “destroy the human being.”
In the session on Tuesday, the AN approved an agreement for the death of Deputy Jacobo Torres de León, who died on February 15, confirmed the Parliament in his social networks.
