This thursday was approved the designation of deputies and deputies representing the National Assembly before the Amazonian Parliament, Venezuela chapter, for the period 2023-2024.
The main representatives of the National Assembly before the Amazonian Parliament designated are deputy Nohely Pocaterra, as vice president, and as substitute, deputy Francisco José Martínez.
Legislator Antonio Rumbos was appointed as principal, and deputy Nileida Carrasquel Martínez as substitute, parliamentarians who will represent the country before the Permanent Commission on Sustainable Development, Ecology and Diversity.
For her part, Nilcia Maldonado was appointed as principal and deputy María Luisa González as substitute, who will represent Venezuela before the Permanent Commission on Legal and Legislative Affairs, International Cooperation and Integration.
Likewise, deputy José Mabio was appointed as principal and his substitute will be deputy Yaritza Alvarado, who will integrate the Permanent Commission on Political Affairs of Women, Human Rights and Peoples of the Amazon.
Deputy Nixón Maniglia was appointed principal member and Javier Segovia as substitute for the Permanent Commission on Cultural, Scientific, Technological and Educational Affairs.
Amazon Parliament
The designation of the parliamentarians in the Amazonian Parliament, Venezuela chapter, was carried out in accordance with the provisions of article 134 of the AN Internal Debate Regulation, as well as articles 7 and 9 of the Statute of the Amazonian Parliament.
This regional instance, created from the Declaration of the Amazon of 1989, will work for the protection of the fundamental rights of the original communities and to eliminate all forms of colonialism and neocolonialism, indicated the AN.

During the ordinary session of this Thursday of the National Assemblythe Draft Law for the Development and Production of Craft Beer was also unanimously approved in the first discussion.
