The National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved a draft agreement on the occasion of commemorating and praising the work carried out during his lifetime by the teacher and revolutionary Aristóbulo Istúriz Almeida.
The agreement was presented by parliamentarian Yasneidy Guarnieri, who offered an account of the life of “El Cimarrón Mayor”, his example, perseverance, dedication and commitment to the Bolivarian Revolution.
“Today I want to express my honor in presenting this agreement on the occasion of commemorating and extolling the life work carried out by the teacher and revolutionary Aristóbulo Istúriz Almeida, the teacher of the 21st century, the teacher who marked a milestone in the Venezuelan social struggle, a man “that left its mark in each of its facets and in each responsibility that the Venezuelan State gave it.”
During the remembrance, the parliamentarian highlighted the distinguished work of someone who in life became a fundamental element for the construction and vindication of social rights and the just causes of teaching professionals, the State channel reported.
The deputy highlighted Cimarrón Mayor’s commitment to the construction and commitment of the communes: “Professor Aristóbulo was always a guide and a light to promote the new State of social democracy, law and justice, as established by the Constitution.” .
Aristóbulo Istúriz, affectionately called the “Major Cimarrón”, is remembered for his life dedicated to teaching, a social fighter and political leader who fought alongside Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro Moros to preserve the educational, social and political rights of the Venezuelan men and women.
His trench of struggle always remained in favor of education and, before his passage to immortality, he also served as sectoral vice president for Social and Territorial Socialism of Venezuela, in which he achieved advances in free and quality education. of the country, despite the coronavirus and the imperial blockade.
Without counting his entire career since the Fourth Republic, in which, in the midst of difficulties, he served as mayor of Caracas and deputy of the Congress of the time, he always defended his revolutionary doctrine in favor of the people.
Istúriz always remained on the street alongside the revolutionary struggle in favor of the vulnerable, a simple man of the people who with his frank smile filled with hope those who coincided in each revolutionary activity.
