The National Assembly (AN) approved this Tuesday – unanimously – the Draft Agreement on the official visit of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The agreement was presented by the deputy to the AN, Alexis Ortilez, who highlighted the work carried out by the Bolivarian Revolution to strengthen bilateral relations, especially with Brazil.
“Venezuela has always placed itself at the center of politics, international relations and cooperation. President (Hugo) Chávez made a gigantic, strategic effort and clearly explained the Bolivarian project, the importance of South American unity, and it is worth evaluating the scope of the policy of the relationship that was generated in that decade with the giant of America, Brazil”, he stressed during the ordinary session.
At this point, the parliamentarian expressed appreciation to President Nicolás Maduro, who was the architect of this unit, since at the time he was Chancellor, he explained.
In this regard, the deputy recognized the dignity of Luis Inácio Lula Da Silva, a man who began his struggles at a very young age in his country, and highlighted his role in the unity of the southern peoples.
“Lula has definitely been a fundamental factor for South American integration,” Ortilez asserted.
“Without a doubt, North American imperialism did not hesitate, it did not blink an eye in trying to create adverse conditions in Brazil and trying to break with the South American leadership that President Lula generated,” he added.
This agreement aims to support the agreements and conventions between Venezuela and Brazilin favor of guaranteeing the right to economic and social development between both nations.
He highlighted the meeting that is taking place in Brazil, where 11 Latin American heads of state place unity at the center to face the challenges of the international scene.
“The multipolar world that is required to generate and crystallize the aspirations of the people,” he said.
