The National Assembly authorized this Tuesday, in ordinary session, the trip of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to make a tour of countries in Europe and Asia in order to expand the international cooperation agenda.
The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, read in parliament a letter addressed by the National President, Nicolás Maduro, requesting the permit.
After reading, the petition was put to a vote, which was approved by a majority, in compliance with articles 235 and 187, numeral 17, of the Bolivarian Constitution.
In the letter, the President Maduro He expressed that the tour aims to claim the highest interests of the country, in favor of the Venezuelan people, as well as deepen cooperation agreements in areas such as science and technology, agriculture, transportation, tourism and culture, and energy.
The Head of State arrived at Ankara’s Esenboga International Airport on Tuesday for his official visit to the Republic of Turkey, which aims to deepen strategic bilateral alliances.
This is the fourth state visit made by the Venezuelan president to the Eurasian nation, after his assistance in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the latter as part of the inauguration of his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
