A few days before the end of the legislative period, the National Assembly approved three laws this Thursday in an ordinary session, which will be sent to the Executive for the purpose of being promulgated.
In that sense, parliament approved in second discussion the Budget Law for the 2025 Financial Year, which was presented last Tuesday before the plenary session by the executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
The budget amounts to 906,459,117,540 bolivars, equivalent in dollars to 22,661,477,939, with 77.6% percent allocated to social investment.
Likewise, the Law of Creation of the Victory of Ayacucho Bicentennial Order Decoration was approved, a proposal that was announced by the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduroregarding the new US sanctions against 21 Venezuelan officials.
The third law tested is the Special Annual Debt for the Financial Year 2025; in accordance with the provisions of article 106 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the National Assembly.
At the conclusion of the ordinary session this Thursday, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, congratulated the parliamentarians and their respective commissions who “urgently” worked on the bills.
Likewise, he called the ordinary session for next Tuesday.
