By “evident majority”, the 2020 National Assembly ratified this Sunday Jorge Rodriguez as president of the Legislative Branch for the 2025 period; as well as Pedro Infante and América Pérez in the first and second vice-presidencies respectively; repeating in the positions they held during 2024.
The “opposition” bench that is in the Chamber proposed Juan Carlos Alvarado, from the judicialized Copei, as president of the AN 2020; the legislator Anyelith Tamayo, from the AD judicialized as first vice president and Alfonso Campos in the second vice presidency; proposal made by Luis Augusto Romero and which was rejected due to lack of votes.
After the board of directors was sworn in, María Alejandra Hernández was chosen as secretary and José Omar Molina as undersecretary of the AN 2020 board of directors.
