Amoroso: “Wait for the scrutiny when there is already an irreversible trend”

Elvis Amoroso recommended not to echo trends that seek to hasten election results. He pointed out that if any voter has a complaint about the electoral process, he must prove it.

The president of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, urged citizens to wait for “the vote count to be completed when there is an irreversible trend” and not to believe in any projections that may arise.

“No exit polls are true, exit polls say what the person who pays them wants to hear. That is a private company,” he said after exercising his right to vote at the Miguel Antonio Caro high school in Catia.

Amoroso highlighted the participation of the population in the electoral process. “There are a lot of people voting. I lasted 30 seconds. It is very fast, we have to feel proud…although we know that there are some who do not feel proud, but the people do because we have the best electoral system in the world.”

The president of the electoral body pointed out that if any voter has a complaint about the electoral process, they must prove it. “If someone comes up with something different, then they should show it… They are not going to say there is fraud, as they did in the past, without presenting the evidence.”
