AMLO’s latest report
On September 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Zócalo of Mexico City, López Obrador will give his final report as President of the Republic.
According to the preliminary agenda of the head of the Executive Branch, the report will be made at 10:00 a.m.; however, the president explained that he will start his speech around 11:00 a.m.
It is no coincidence that, one month before the end of his term, our president has the highest approval rating in recent decades.

The Congress of the Union begins its sessions
This Sunday, the LXVI Legislature is also scheduled to be installed and a new session of the Congress of the Union to begin.
Thus, at 5:00 p.m., in the Session Hall of the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro, federal deputies, as well as senators of the Republic, are summoned to the session of the General Congress for the opening of the First Period of Ordinary Sessions of the First Year of Exercise of the Sixty-Sixth Legislature.
Pursuant to Article 69 of the Constitution, during this first session, the President of the Republic must present a written report outlining the general state of the country’s public administration.
Subsequently, each of the Chambers will carry out the analysis of the report and may request the President to expand the information by means of a written question and summon the Secretaries of State and the directors of the parastatal entities, who will appear and render reports under oath of telling the truth.
The federal deputies elected to the LXVI Legislature will serve a term of office for 36 months, from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2027; and the senators elected to the LXVI Legislature will serve a term of office for 72 months, from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2030.
