The savings obtained by the dependencies of the Federal Public Administration amounted to 3,491.7 million pesos, of which 88% (3,071.7 million) were own resources and 12.0% (420 million) fiscal resources.

Together, three administrative branches concentrated 77.1% (2,691.6 million pesos) of the total savings: Treasury and Public Credit (53.7%), Labor and Social Welfare (14.4%) and Energy (9.0%).

The Legislative and Judicial powers, as well as the autonomous entities saved 2,489.2 million pesos. In this regard, it is worth noting that the Judiciary contributed with savings of 1,310.2 million, which represented 52.6% of the total (the Federal Judicial Council participated with 1,065.3 million).

The federal government’s austerity program is based on article 61 of the Federal Budget and Fiscal Responsibility Law, which establishes the obligation of the executors to apply measures to contain spending for administrative and support activities.

These measures must be met without affecting the fulfillment of the goals of the social programs.
