Pachuca, Hgo., In a closed-door meeting, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked the nation’s servants who work in the Welfare Secretariat to work together without forming groups so that attention to citizens is punctual and effective.
The meeting was held yesterday, without access to the media, at the Gota de Plata Theater in Pachuca, the only municipality that the president visited on his tour of Hidalgo, Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar reported. The act was attended by the Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval.
The Chief Executive arrived at the theater around 11 in the morning and was received by the Morenista governor.
Before 2,500 people, López Obrador explained that the installation of Welfare banks throughout the country will serve to disperse the resources destined for social programs in favor of the beneficiaries of the 32 entities of the Republic.
At the meeting, graphs were projected with data on the progress in the installation of Banco del Bienestar branches. In Hidalgo, it was mentioned, there are 138 branches, 19 of them traditional and 34 new, as well as 85 in process. At the national level, they said, there are 1,366 branches, of which 931 are in the process of expansion.
In the country, it was indicated, there are 35 million households, of these, 25 million are benefited with the support of the Ministry of Well-being and another 5 million correspond to teachers, police officers and doctors at the service of the government.
Of the 5 percent of families that are not directly beneficiaries of social programs, they are integrated into what he called the economic chain, that is, in industry and commerce, or they are businessmen.
The President clarified that the resources with which the programs are financed they are not from the government
, but of the people. For this reason, he added, it is important that a good redistribution of wealth and budget be carried out.
He asked the servants of the nation not to act dishonestly, not to ask for gifts or commissions
for registering and serving the beneficiaries. As well as working as a team, in an organized way and that they refrain from forming factions. No groupisms, that we all help, that everything works like a little machine

The federal president stressed that there will be no more intermediation nor will the beneficiaries be required to pay commissions to be included in the social programs

López Obrador recognized the work of the nation’s servants because they are close to the people, to the people, today you are the ones who collect the feelings of the people, those in charge of applying the Well-being programs, you are like the main column of our government

In addition to Hidalgo, the president visited Puebla and Tlaxcala yesterday. The meeting held in Puebla was attended by the substitute governor, Sergio Salomón Céspedes, and to the one in Tlaxcala, the governor Lorena Cuéllar.
López Obrador was accompanied in the three entities by the secretaries of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel, and of Education, Leticia Ramírez, as well as by the aforementioned Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, among other officials.
