“Until today, the peso has not been devalued with us, of course we have about 20 days left and they are trying to confuse us by saying that there is a lot of instability, because we are going to carry out the judicial reform. What fear are they going to have, if what we want is to end corruption, to banish corruption? And how do we do it? Well, with the people, the people are the ones who help purify public life,” he said.
“Why don’t we choose the judges? What’s the fear? What fear can there be? But yes, they are there, trying to stop this reform that is essential because we have to end the revolving door. A criminal is put in jail, after it is very difficult to arrest him, the lives of police officers, sailors, soldiers, etc. are put at risk, they are arrested, and after a week, especially on weekends, on Saturday, a judge orders his release. We do not want that to continue happening in our country,” he added.
The president stressed that during his administration not only poverty was reduced in the country, but also salaries increased and the peso was not devalued.
