After the workers’ rally in the National Palace, as part of a day of mobilization on the occasion of the third anniversary, the spokesman for the Presidency, Jesús Ramírez, informed the leadership of the Single Union of Notimex Workers (SutNotimex) that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador instructed a meeting scheduled for this Tuesday.
The meeting will take place at the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) at 11:30 a.m. with the presence of Ramírez Cuevas; the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, and the head of the Secretary of Labor, Luisa María Alcalde, and both the general secretary of SutNotimex, Adriana Urrea, and the general director of Notimex, Sanjuana Martínez, will be summoned.
The members of the SutNotimex They reported that they are fully willing to discuss and reach a reconciled solution to the strike, in adherence to the law and respecting the rights of workers.
“These high-level tables will be reactivated after more than a year and a half since the last conciliation meeting was held, in June 2021, so for the strikers the reopening of the dialogue with the Notimex management is of great importance, and the Secretaries of State, as well as the spokesperson for the Presidency,” said union leader Adriana Urrea.
