The document filtered by Guacamaya and cited by Fifth Lab element He states that “La Barredora” was aware of an investigation folder against him open for the subprochuase specialized in organized crime investigation (Seido). The source of this information was a member of the Secretariat of the Navy, identified as Popeye.
According to an informative card of the Sedena, dated March 22, 2021, Popeye would have confirmed that the order to monitor Bermúdez and his network came from the National Palace.
The surveillance of the criminal group was based on telephone interventions made by the Regional Southeast Intelligence Center. This joint instance of Sedena, Marina CNI and Attorney General’s Office operated since before March 2021.
The follow -up extended to Gustavo Elías de Dios Yedra, aka “Tavo” or “Spartano”, who coordinated the theft and sale of fuel in Tabasco and Chiapas. His relationship with security controls was known since 2019, and also linked it with Navy operational personnel.
Other characters under the magnifying glass
In addition to Bermúdez and Yedra, the document mentions Carlos Tomás Díaz Rodríguez, identified as “Tomasín” or “the LIC”. This character served as an advisor to the Secretary of Security of Tabasco and also appeared in the investigation folder.
In the same record, Jorge Caraval, aka “Pizza”, a collaborator of Yedra and alleged employee of Petróleos Mexicanos is indicated. He was also mentioned in a call where federal surveillance and Popeye participation were discussed.
The reports show that the criminal network had access to privileged information thanks to contacts within security agencies. One of them came to ask for 180,000 pesos in exchange for eliminating Yedra from the investigation.
In parallel, Popeye appears in the organization charts of the criminal group as an agent with operational functions within the Navy. According to hacked emails, you could mobilize personnel and facilitate escorts to protect the transfer of stolen hydrocarbons.

What happened to the main ones involved
After being identified as an alleged intelligence collaborator, Yedra was deprived of liberty by his own “La Barredora” partners. They accused him of having leaked information that allowed the folder to open against him.
That same day, Yedra was kidnapped along with Michael Alfonso Haddad Sánchez, aka “Joncha”, one of his operators in the transfer of hydrocarbons. Both were traded in a lynch truck and stripped of money.
Sedena warned in the report that the leaders of the criminal group feared that Yedra was collaborating with the authorities. Therefore, they anticipated their execution as internal retaliation. The warning was fulfilled.
Hernán Bermúdez’s role in the structure
Hernán Bermúdez is indicated as a centerpiece of the criminal network investigated. From his position as Secretary of Security, he maintained links with members of the group, according to the recordings.
Bermúdez himself would have warned the leaders of the criminal group about the possible entry of federal operations. “Say up because 1 ‘state trucks and marine intelligence are going to enter,” is attributed to the leaked document.
Currently, Hernán Bermúdez has an active appraisal order and a red card issued by Interpol. He is a fugitive. Adam Augusto López, former governor of Tabasco and responsible for his appointment, has declared that he did not know the illegal activities of the former official.
