AMLO invites relatives of Che Guevara to a party for the independence of Mexico

MIAMI, United States.- The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), invited relatives of Julian Assange, Nelson Mandela and Ernesto “Che” Guevara to the official celebrations of the party for the independence of the Aztec country, which will have place in mid-September.

López Obrador has publicly defended and offered political asylum to Assange. Relatives of South African President Nelson Mandela and the daughter of guerrilla fighter Ernesto “Che” Guevara were also invited to Mexico.

The invitation also included the former rulers of Bolivia, Evo Morales, and of Uruguay, José Mujica, and the son, wife and granddaughter of US civil rights defender Martin Luther King.
