President López Obrador shouted in front of the thousands of people who gathered tonight on the main plaza of the Mexican capital.
In one of his last public messages before ending his term, the president recognized the work ethic of Mexicans and added a “long live!” to the Fourth Transformation, a political project created around Morena with him as its leader.
Death to corruption!

This is the last Cry of Independence led by President López Obrador, who on October 1 will hand over the presidential sash to his successor, Claudia Sheinbaum, both founders of the Morena party.
Hours earlier, López Obrador and the president-elect signed the publication of the Judicial Reform, which has already been published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
Several of the attendees showed, in addition to their Mexican pride, the appreciation they have for the president, who won the elections on July 1, 2018. They carried flags and banners with the image of the president, as well as stuffed animals known as ‘AMLitos’.
The show at the Zócalo in Mexico City began with the Mariachi de la Secretaría de Marina, which played traditional Mexican music for more than two hours.
Thousands of people flocked to the capital’s main square, despite the rain that fell around 9:00 p.m.
