AMLO expresses his disagreement over the search of Alejandro Moreno’s house in Campeche

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador expressed his disagreement with the search carried out by staff of the Campeche Prosecutor’s Office in a house of Alexander Moreno in that state as part of the investigations against the PRI for illicit enrichment, tax fraud, money laundering, abuse of authority, embezzlement and improper use of powers and powers.

“I’m talking about the way they entered the PRI president’s house to do an errand… I’m not defending the man. I am saying that these procedures should not prevail in a democratic country that respects freedoms”, he clarified.

Although “the man is not a saint of my devotion,” he said during his usual press conference at the National Palace, “I do not agree with the procedure because it is unworthy. Because you can not humiliate, violate, the dignity of people”.

The fact reminded him of two events, according to what he narrated.

“I have two things well in mind: when Televisa entered the house of Saddam Hussein with cameras, due to negotiations with the United States government, and a famous reporter showed how he lived and a spectacle was made.

“And recently what they did to Evo (Morales) who, likewise, entered his home and recorded everything to degrade him, also with racist signs. I do not agree with that”.

Regarding the Moreno case, he considered that there was propaganda.

“The judicial act should have been carried out, without the propaganda. So, let it be on the record.”

According to the Campeche prosecutor, who supervised the ministerial diligence in one of the PRI’s houses, the ministerial police entered the home after knocking down the door with a battering ram because the elements touched and no one opened, and there was a judge’s order to enter. by force
