What happens between AMLO and Loret?
In the morning conference this Friday, López Obrador described Loret as a “mercenary” and accused him of earning up to 15 times more than him.
“This is what Loret wins, what he won last year (2021). But what really catches my attention, and Televisa will have to clarify it for me, is that Loret is no longer supposed to be on Televisa and they gave him 11 million 800,000 pesos last year,” said the manager, while showing the supposed income of the communicator.
The list displayed included the media LatinusTelevisa, Radiopolis, The universal, the Washington Post and “others”, which in total, according to López Obrador’s information, give Loret annual income of up to 35,200,000 pesos.
López Obrador compared this to his annual income as president, which amounts to 2 million 11,000 pesos.
The president said that he was exposing these data because, in his opinion, Loret does not have “moral authority” to criticize the lifestyle of his children, alluding to the investigation by Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) and Latinus about the mansions in which his eldest son, José Ramón López Beltrán, has lived in Houston.
“With what moral authority is Mr. Loret de Mola going to question me, if what I have considered most important in my life has been my honesty? And that is why I asked him ‘let’s see, how much do you earn?’ someone publicly needs to have moral authority; if not, it is not possible, one cannot resist,” he said.
