The president witnessed the progress in compliance with the agreement for the operation of the IMSS Well-being in the entity. In this context, he referred to the filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, who yesterday at the Feroz Awards ceremony defended that education and health be maintained as rights guaranteed by the Spanish State.
“Throughout Europe, after the Second World War, the most important thing that was achieved was the application of what is known as the welfare state. What is the welfare state? In guaranteeing the safety of the person, the human being, from the cradle to the grave, ”he explained.
The president also recalled that in 2013, when he suffered his first heart attack, up to 90% of the main artery of the heart was closed and the person who saved his life was the Morelos doctor named Patricio Ortiz.
“I am telling it because a doctor from Morelos saved my life, because I suffered a very strong heart attack and they took me to a hospital and there a doctor from Morelos, Patricio Ortiz, an interventionist, removed a clot in the main artery of my heart, already I had it like 90%, completely closed, ”he narrated.
That is why he asked to train professionals and “not only cardiologists, but interventionists and also (hospitals) to be able to care for patients with heart attacks.
Before the inhabitants of Temixco, the federal president assured that all or almost all of the doctors are human, although “there are one or two, but one or two swallows do not make summer.”
“I’ve never asked him, but he won’t even find out, but I think he didn’t like us, that before and he saved my life,” he said.
The president insisted that medicines have already been purchased for 2023 and corruption in past administrations.
“It was a business, a trick they had, they sold medicines, 10 distribution companies sold 100,000 million pesos a year to the government and they didn’t even have laboratories, they were intermediaries, coyotes, linked to corrupt politicians. Three companies kept 60,000 million of all purchases, they did not deliver medicines or they charged a lot for them but they had a lot of power and influence to the extent that it was not allowed to import medicines from other countries, they had to be bought here”, he added.
“Now we are buying medicines all over the world, we made an agreement with the UN and we already have all the medicines for this year and 2024 and with savings and they will be delivered and not only the basic box and it will be guaranteed that they are delivered in a free,” he added.
