Mazatlán, Sin., At the end of his tour of the northwest, aimed at holding meetings with electrical workers to call on them to join the Internet project for all, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stressed the social importance of this plan: It will be a revolution for the new generations. They will have as a reward the satisfaction of saying that just as others brought electricity, now they are going to say that they brought the Internet to the entire country..

The president criticized the neoliberal governments that privatized the fiber optic infrastructure deployed by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to deliver it to the Spanish Telefónica and to a company that, being Mexican, I am not going to mention.

He added that under the government of Vicente Fox, the CFE invested to deploy two fiber optic cables. Look at the business, lucrative for those above and onerous for those below, for the people of Mexico because with Calderón what was done with public money was privatized.

Both in Sinaloa and Nuevo León, he emphasized that he is working to rescue the state company after other governments took it upon themselves to destroy it. He offered the workers that, contrary to the mutilation of their collective contract in the neoliberal past to extend the retirement age, he proposed that they have confidence that they will not lack work, there will be no layoffs either, more jobs will be created and they will be basified for have job certainty.

The head of the CFE, Manuel Bartlett Díaz, stated at the time that he has the capacity and infrastructure to consolidate the Internet project for all and install more than 2,000 towers because we need to bring civilization, culture, what has been abandoned in a very important part of the Mexican people. The essence of the Fourth Transformation is fundamentally to do justice in this country.

He stressed that Mexico is fractured: the south abandoned, the north growing. And as long as there is no balance in the nation, we cannot say that there is neither democracy nor well-being for all, as the President is doing.. He asserted that a new vision is required, an integrated Mexico, a Mexico where the welfare to which everyone is entitled exists throughout the country.

In turn, the Secretary of Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, explained that the elaboration of the social project is supported to shorten the digital gap with this program in which military engineers participate.

For that technical knowledge and experience are used; They will work in close coordination with CFE technicians to compile a census of Banco del Bienestar branches, National Guard barracks and military camps that, due to their location and the availability of spaces, are conducive to placing the towers and antennas that will carry the Internet.

López Obrador attended the meeting with the employees of the CFE of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora and Sinaloa at the José Aceves Pozos thermoelectric plant in this city, where he compared Mexico in its beginnings of electrification, when all the workers participated to arrive to the farthest points so that people could have the service.

In the Sinaloa and Nuevo León meetings, the President stressed to the workers that what is important is that they participate and they will have as a reward the satisfaction of saying that just as others brought electricity, now they are going to say that they brought the Internet to the entire country.

After making a critical review of the actions of the neoliberal governments to marginalize the CFE from the electricity market and hand it over to individuals, he stressed that now we are investing in the CFE. They will not miss work. Of course, it goes without saying, but we have plenty. There will be no layoffs at the Federal Electricity Commission; on the contrary, as there is a plan to expand and create plants, more workers will be hired and basicized.
