AMLO boasts an increase in tax collection during January 2023

“We bring an increase of 5.5%, in real terms, in relation to last year; until January 25. We have collected about 55,000 million pesos more than last year”, calculated the politician from Tabasco.

“If we increase inflation, we would be talking about a nominal growth of about 3%,” he added.

For this year, the Ministry of Finance foresees a tax collection of 4.6 trillion pesos (bdp) for taxes, 56% of the total income of the federation of a total of 8.3 bdp.

Employment

The president pointed out that in December there was a loss of 300,000 formal jobs. He specified that it is a strategy of the companies to make layoffs at the end of the year, to then rehire the staff.

“That is why we are not concerned that the number of registered workers has been lowered in the data, because we know that they continue to work, but they have not been registered,” he pointed out.

He concluded by saying that he expects to end January with 80,000 new formal jobs.
