In his turn, the Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, reported that military engineers will collaborate with the CFE to determine the places where the towers and antennas will be placed to guarantee broad territorial coverage of the Internet.
For this, he said, the properties where the Welfare Banks, National Guard barracks and military camps where the towers and antennas could be installed will be analyzed, which will also guarantee their safety. The objective is the installation of 2,800 communication antennas in the national territory.
The general director of the CFE, Manuel Bartlett Díaz, recalled the historical process that implied the electrification of the country with the participation of the workers and the people themselves, and added that the president’s instruction to bring the internet to the entire population is a fact. “I’m sure they’re going to make it,” he told the workers of the public company.
AMLO: under the pretext of clean energy they were looking for “dirty business”
