After the event in Querétaro, which brought together the three branches of the Union, as well as state secretaries, governors, federal and local legislators, among others, the spokesman for the presidency, Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, complained that the minister did not has respected the protocol, given that she remained seated when everyone standing applauded President López Obrador.
“In the act of the 106th anniversary of the Mexican Constitution, we witnessed the vitality of our institutions with a debate of ideas between the representatives of the three powers of the Union. It is unfortunate that not everyone respected the protocol of the ceremony, ”Ramírez Cuevas wrote on social networks, who accompanied his message with a photograph.
Did the minister break the protocol or not?
After the publication of the tweet, on social networks there were conflicting positions on whether or not the judge broke with the protocol.
And it is that, in the photograph shared by the presidential spokesman, the minister Norma Piña is observed sitting, while the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel; the heads of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval and of the Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán, as well as President López Obrador himself are standing.
According to the official video, upon his arrival at the Teatro de la República, President López Obrador greets Minister Norma Piña and the president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel, who were already waiting for him at the entrance to the venue. .
Subsequently, and while the president enters the theater and greets the attendees, both Piña Hernández and Creel move to take their place in the presidium.
At the moment that López Obrador advances to join the presidium, he is received with applause from those present, including the minister, who even seems to turn to see him.
And although at that moment he did not get up from his place, the truth is that he stood up, once the master of ceremonies informed that the respective honors would be rendered to the president and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. .
