To consolidate the construction of the breakwater, 362.1 million pesos will be allocated, between contributions from the federal government and the state administration, and as in any project of my government, a permanent dialogue is maintained with the municipal authorities and the inhabitants who will directly benefit with this strategic workdeclared Murat Hinojosa after verifying the work with federal and state officials.

The government of Oaxaca took into account the requests of inhabitants regarding the project that is being carried out in this port and a census of the right of way of the Pearson-Salina Cruz port section was carried out, in order to begin relocating at the end of this month the homes located in a perimeter of five to six meters from the road. As part of the tour, yesterday afternoon López Obrador and Murat Hinojosa led a meeting with residents of Sola de Vega and San Vicente Coatlán, with the intention of reaching a peace agreement between the municipalities. Both communities showed their intention to settle the conflict that dates back more than 60 years.

The meeting, held at the facilities of the Oaxaca Cultural and Convention Center, was private. The conflict between the towns is due to a boundary dispute over some 20,000 hectares. The problem keeps construction work on the Barranca Larga-Ventanilla highway blocked.

The President and the Governor also supervised the progress of the Mitla-Tehuantepec II highway, which has an overall completion of 59.9 percent. With this work, Murat pointed out, it will be possible to reduce the travel time from four and a half to two and a half hours.
