President López Obrador traveled to Tamaulipas to supervise the Francisco I. Madero Refinery.

The president arrived at the refinery after visiting similar facilities in Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Tabasco and Veracruz since last Friday.

López Obrador affirmed that at the beginning of his government the facilities did not produce, however, 8,000 million pesos were allocated to them and now 105,000 barrels of oil are processed per day.

Upon his arrival in Tampico, the president sent a message of condolences to the family and friends of Senator Faustino López Vargas and his wife Pilar Hernández, who died this Saturday in a car accident while on their way from San Luis Potosí to Zacatecas.

The vehicle in which the legislator and his wife were traveling left the road and overturned on Federal Highway 45.

After the supervision, the president reiterated that Governor Américo Villarreal has the full support of the federal government and promised to return.

“Governor Américo Villarreal accompanied me and I promised to return with the entire cabinet to further support the people of Tamaulipas,” he wrote on Twitter.

“In this new stage of respectful and positive collaboration, I reiterate our agreement with the principles of the fourth transformation, as well as my firm commitment to govern with honesty, to invariably speak the truth and always be loyal to our people,” he said. the governor for his part.
