“It is a privilege to be in Cuba,” said the American guitarist Dominic Miller, at the usual press conference that takes place every day in the Abelardo Estorino room of the Ministry of Culture, regarding the 37th International Jazz Plaza Festival 2022.
The renowned guitarist of the band Sting, will go on stage in the Avellaneda room of the National Theater of Cuba, this Friday the 21st at 9 pm, with a quartet, made up of European musicians whom he described as incredible.
At the concert they intend to interpret all the music they like, they can be Sting titles, own titles, a little The Beatles, but he confessed that they do not really have an exact plan for that presentation, because “I am in a country,” he said. – where I want to improvise and interact with the public and for this I will be accompanied by musicians who, with them, everything I can think of is possible”.
He also stated that he comes to Cuba to be able to share and have a connection with the musicians of the patio, “people identify with my music like no other place in the world, they have a high culture, that’s why being here is a huge luck” .
He also thanked the organizers of the Jazz Plaza for the invitation and assured that every time they invite him he will come.
The guitarist will also be the special guest at the presentation of the Manolito Simonet orchestra and his blunderbuss, on the 22nd at the Teatro América in the capital, also within the framework of this festival.
