American companies will transform garbage into clean energy in Penonomé

Private US companies signed an agreement with the Penonomé Mayor’s Office to transform garbage into clean energy, which is why the Mayor of this district, Paula María González, explained on Radio Panama the process that was followed to sign this agreement and the impact it would have on the population of this region of the country.

“The two companies will manage the disposal and classification within the landfill, they eliminate the open landfill, which allows us at no cost to the Municipality, that is to say that this process, which is a high cost for the Municipality, becomes for operation and that amount or fund passes to improve collection, make routes more efficient, create more routes, that is, with these funds we can equip ourselves with personnel, trucks to make collection more efficient, “explained González.

Regarding when these joint works begin, González expects that within three to 4 months they should begin this process “The machine is already in the process of entering Panama, in addition to making two galleys and installing the machine, within 3 to 4 months to and to start the operation of the machine, for the first time this technology will be in the region and this will bring many benefits, and even developers and businessmen can sell that extra that the city is going to turn into a city that transforms its garbage into clean energy.
