Actress Raquel Welch, the international sex symbol and winner of a Golden Globe, has died in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 82.
“He passed away peacefully early this morning after a brief illness,” confirmed his manager, Steve Sauer. And he added: “His career spanned more than 50 years starring in more than 30 movies and 50 television series. The Golden Globe winner, in more recent years, she was involved in a successful line of wigs. Raquel leaves behind her two children, Damon Welch and Tahnee Welch.”
Born in Chicago to a Bolivian father and an American mother, she made her film debut in the mid-1960s with leading roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years BC
He would then go on to star in dozens of films, including The Three Musketeers 1973, which earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
