Actress Diane Keaton, one of the most iconic figures in the world cinema American, died this Saturday at the age of 79.
The news of his death was confirmed to the magazine People a spokesperson for his family, who asked for “privacy at this time of deep sadness.”

Keaton, who won an Oscar for his work on the film Annie Halldeveloped a long career of five decades in cinema, and also ventured into theater and television.
Born in Los Angeles in 1946, she used her mother’s maiden name for her stage name. He studied acting and debuted on Broadway in 1968.
His long and prominent filmography includes titles such as The Godfather, Reds, Marvin’s room, The bride’s father and The First Wives Clubas well as several films directed by Woody Allen—including Annie Hall, Interiors and Manhattan—who was one of his muses.

Also winner of two Golden Globe awards and a Bafta, and owner of an indisputable talent for comedy, she was one of the actresses with the most participation in films included in the list of the 100 best films of the American Film Institute.
