The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Caracas, Hojjatollah Soltani, stated that the people of the Middle East are committed to peace, as well as the Venezuelans.
The diplomat differentiated Judaism from Zionism, highlighting that the former, like Muslims and Christians, are a religion that deserves “all the respect in the world.”
“In Iran, Jewish brothers have their own synagogues,” structures that are one hundred percent subsidized by the Islamic Government in the consumption of public services, as well as Christian, Zoroastrian temples and Muslim mosques.
He highlighted that in the Iranian Parliament there is an exclusive representative of the Jewish people, who received the right after the arrival of the Persian Revolution at the end of the 70s. “So, the Jews, like the rest of the religions, receive everything respect,” he stated this Monday during his participation in the program With Maduro +.
Zionism equals Hitler
However, the ambassador reproached that Zionism “is a racist movement just like Hitler.”
“Zionists think they are superior to the rest of the world, Judaism has even been hijacked by Zionism; and the Zionists use Judaism to justify the crimes they are committing in the Middle East,” he argued.
Soltani criticized that Zionism hides behind Judaism to discredit global protests against this racist ideology and accuse the world of being against a religion.
“The most powerful media in the world are in the hands and monopolies of the Zionists. In that sense, they were trying to change the realities in the Middle East,” he evidenced.
He referred to the assassination of Ismail Haniya, leader of Hamas, at the hands of Zionist forces and the inability of the United Nations (UN) Security Council to apply international laws.
“Instead of even verbally condemning Israel, they condemned Iran,” he snapped.
In that sense, Soltani defended the response of the armed forces of Iran, representing the oppressed peoples, of the martyred children in Palestine and Lebanon, to end Israel’s war.
