The ambassador appointed by Venezuela, Ramón Gordils, presented this Thursday the copies of style that accredit him as a diplomat of the nation before the Republic of Norway.
According to a press release from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministrythe activity was led by the Director General of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tone Allers.
With the reception of the Venezuelan diplomat, Venezuela and Norway reestablish bilateral relations, after eight years of having only business managers.
It is expected that next Thursday, the ceremony of presentation of the credential letters will take place in front of King Harld V, who is the head of state of Norway.
It should be remembered that Venezuela and Norway have been guarantors of dialogue processes on several occasions.
The first was the process of dialogue between the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP) and the government of then President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia.
Currently, both countries are guarantors in the dialogue process between the government of Gustavo Petro and the National Liberation Army (ELN).
For its part, Norway has participated since 2019 as a facilitator of the dialogue process between the Constitutional Government of Venezuela and sectors of the opposition without parliamentary representation; refers press release.
