Ambassador Lebbos: They will not be able to eliminate Lebanon's history

The ambassador of the Lebanese Republic accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Elías Lebbos, pointed out this Monday during his intervention in the 60th program of “Con Maduro +” that the attacks against Lebanon by Israel aim to end eight thousand years of history.

“I want to say with great sadness that for two weeks Lebanon has been under attack by missiles and drones,” said the Lebanese Ambassador.

He highlighted that Lebanon’s 8,000-year history is mentioned 72 times in the Bible. “They will not be able to eliminate the history of Lebanon (…) This country (Lebanon) will be reborn like the phoenix, we are going to build it again,” he said.

The Ambassador thanked Venezuela on behalf of his country for all the support received, for all the embrace of the Lebanese people by the Venezuelan people and for all its message of dialogue and peace before the world that is silent.

“The world is in silent mode, they are not talking about anything, they are not talking about the massacre, the crimes that are happening at all hours (…) They are accomplices but Lebanon will continue fighting as a country of peace,” said Lebbos.

The diplomat asked: What do women, children, rescuers, ambulances, and firefighters have to do with bombing them every day? There are military actions that have bombed entire towns “with sacred mosques. Why do they continue with that?”

On October 3, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting with the ambassador of the Lebanese Republic in Venezuela, Elías Lebbos, to express his support, accompaniment and support for the brotherly Arab people.
