Pablo Mieres visited Cerro Largo and met with local PI leaders
The former senator and Minister of Labor and Social Security during the administration of the Republican Coalition, was in Cerro Largo over the weekend to participate in a political meeting, but also of fraternization.
In this meeting, the main figures of the Independent Party in Cerro Largo were present and also some leaders on list 93, group of the National Party led by the current departmental mayor.
“On Saturday night we were gathered with the entire group with Pablo Mieres and there were two representatives- Mariana Sorribas and Carlín Rodríguez- of the 93 that invited them to participate too” Professor Jorge Da Rosa confirmed.
“We made a sharing of the group in general, of what we have been building at the departmental level, a little analyzing where we are standing and how we will continue forward” held.
He said that at the level of the group there is tranquility because the objectives that had arisen at the time have been achieved. “Now we are going to put together a road map to see in this departmental coalition government that we have armed how to move forward and what will be our contribution as we have always been, a construction force” The leader of the Independent Party in Cerro Largo said.

The party grew in the interior of the country, to the point that it is present in 10 departments co -governing with different intentions. “Here in Cerro Largo we come very well. We have managed to amalgamate a group of very important people, people who have contributed from different areas of society to the group. We have been strengthening within this company of Cerro Largo. We have grown very well as a group and the balance has been positive. Now with the responsibility of being able to contribute in these 5 years of departmental government” insisted.

From different areas in the previous period, the Independent Party accompanied the restlessness of the neighbors for the reopening of this emblematic place located on Route 8 and Ignacio Oribe. “We received the news with a huge joy because we apart from that we live in that area of the city, it was a job we did for more than a year” recalled.
