Always Ready beat Universitario 4-0. The team led by Julio César Baldivieso scored all four goals in the first stage, being totally dominant in the match against the capital.
The match broke up before the fans settled into their seats. In minute 3 of the match, Nicolás Romat accidentally hit Carmelo Algarañaz in a split ball. Always’s attacker came sliding in first, and the defender tagged him trying to clear.
